Terrance + Kimberly’s Destination Wedding in Galveston Texas
It is no secret that the times are still uncertain and couples are finding it challenging to tailor a wedding where everyone would be safe from Covid. But that’s why we have outdoor celebrations with all of their charming whimsy! Going for an outdoor, more intimate affair will keep your guests safe, but at the same time, you will find that it is more heartfelt, precious, and filled with all the feels. At least I can definitely say that Terrance and Kimberly wouldn’t change a thing about their small Galveston wedding!
This stunning couple from the Dallas area of Texas celebrated their love chapter with a destination wedding on the beach. In the light of the past period, they wanted to keep it simple and safe, narrowing it down to 60 guests. Plus, opting for another destination instead of going local, elevates the whole experience. It is a different, extraordinary, and unique adventure for you and your loved ones!
I was so excited to bring Terrance and Kimberly’s vision to life because let’s face it – saying “I do” on a beach with an ocean backdrop and a gentle sea breeze is super romantic and magical! What was unique and super sweet is that they had a wonderfully personalized wedding ceremony that included an adorable shell ritual. Their family and friends made well wishes and blessings before tossing them into the ocean.
After this heartwarming ceremonial act, they had a reception at the Galveston Island Palms. It is an amazing garden meets seaside venue, featuring a grand pavilion, surrounded by palm trees. They kept the decor simple yet timeless, with touches of navy blue and a hint of gold. Their cake was incredibly beautiful with lovely rich blush tones and floral adornment. As the night was slowly setting, the whole atmosphere was illuminated with twinkling lights which perfectly framed their love story. Regarding destination weddings, the location can set the whole mood so choosing a venue that will be aligned with your dreams and visions is essential!
I hope you enjoyed this Galveston wedding! If you are dreaming about having a destination celebration or a small and intimate affair, get in touch. I am a Houston-based wedding planner but I am willing to travel over and beyond to create a custom and unique experience for you!
