$100 DIY Picnic with Dollar Tree

Picnics are super popular right now! Especially with many areas of the country still under strict guidelines for indoor events, many people are choosing to do their celebrations outside!

Every week I get an inquiry or two about doing a picnic. I have a few friendors that I work with or refer clients out to so I know the prices right off. In Houston, Texas, luxury picnics for 4 start at about $250 and that is before food. I know that some of us are on a budget, so I wanted to share this $80 picnic setup that I did for my mom last minute. One thing to note, my mom owns a picnic table–so that is not included in the budget, but if you go to a park or have a cute table at home, you should still be able to keep the cost down!

Total $92.76

Once, you have your items, it’s pretty simple just start setting the table. Put your table cloth down first the place your greenery in the middle. You can then start putting down your charger plates. I would do that before adding taper candles so that you can space everything out before the table is full. Then add your dinner plates and cutlery (remember fork  on the left then knife and spoon on the right.) The place cards are easy to make too using the chalkboard packs and decorative butterflies from Dollar Tree as well.

Just toss some throw pillows on the ground next to the table for added decoration. People can also use them as cushions for the picnic table and as chairs if you set this up on a pallet instead.

And there you have it a picnic setup for under $100 for 6 people! Now all you have to do is figure out your menu!
